New Delhi. Congress leader Kapil Sibal has attacked Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday amid rising cases of Kovid in the country. Kapil Sibal said that the Prime Minister is exercising all his powers to win elections, but he is not doing so to control the epidemic. Sibal tweeted and wrote, “Modiji, you use all your strength, muscle power, lame power etc. resources to win the election. Why don’t you have such passion for our people to win the war against coronovirus.”
The Congress is criticizing the Prime Minister for ignoring the epidemic in the country and focusing on campaigning in West Bengal.
Even former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh wrote a letter to the Prime Minister and suggested that vaccination should be increased. Meanwhile, the government has approved the vaccine for all people above 18 years of age from 1 May on Monday.
According to the Health Ministry data, 2,73,810 new cases were reported in India on Monday. This is the largest figure ever. With this, the total number of corona cases in the country has reached 15 million.
This is the fifth consecutive day when more than two lakh cases of Kovid have been reported in the country, after which the total cases in the country have gone up to 1,50,61,919. India recorded 2,61,500 new cases on Sunday, 2,34,692 cases on Saturday, 2,00,739 and 2,17,353 cases on Thursday and Friday respectively.
