The Yogi Adityanath government has not accepted the decision of lockdown in five districts of the state till April 26 on a PIL filed by the Allahabad High Court regarding the corona virus infection in Uttar Pradesh. The High Court has directed the Chief Secretary of Uttar Pradesh to lockdown in Lucknow, Prayagraj, Kanpur city, Varanasi and Gorakhpur tonight at 12 noon i.e. from Monday night to April 26. At present, the Yogi Adityanath government is not accepting this direction of the court. The government has decided not to impose lockdown in five cities including Lucknow.
Following the court’s direction, a spokesperson for Uttar Pradesh’s Yogi Adityanath says that we have to save the lives of the poor and their livelihood in this period of corona virus infection. For this reason we cannot impose lockdown. Today, the Allahabad High Court had ordered that the state government impose lockdown till 26 April in Varanasi, Kanpur Nagar, Lucknow, Prayagraj and Gorakhpur. On this, the Yogi Adityanath government argues that along with saving the lives of people, it is also to save their livelihood. In such a situation, this decision cannot be taken in such a situation.
On this order of the court, it has been said on behalf of the government that Corona cases have increased in the state and strictness is necessary for the control of Corona. The government has taken many steps and further strict steps are being taken. Now along with saving lives, the livelihood of the poor also has to be saved. In such a situation, complete lockdown will not be done in five cities. In the state, people are automatically imprisoning many places. Earlier, there were instructions from the court to supervise the Uttar Pradesh Chief Secretary himself. This order given by the court was to come into force from tonight. During this time, it was said that no shops, hotels, offices and public places would be opened in these cities, except for the shops with essential services. Along with this, orders were also given to ban worship and events in temples.
