Nainital: The High Court has passed orders to set up mobile vans and mobile teams to increase Kovid testing in remote areas of the state, increase the number of Kovid hospitals and ensure availability of PPE kits and other safety equipment to Upanal and other employees in STH . The court, with the help of DRDO and other central institutions, has directed the government to make temporary hospital for the treatment of Kovid infected patients in the state, to make this facility compulsory in government hospitals, at least in city scans, in district hospitals.
On Tuesday, the public interest litigation of advocate Dushyant Mainali and Sachchdanand was heard in the bench of Chief Justice RS Chauhan and Justice Alok Kumar Verma. Taking cognizance of the application filed by Advocate Dushyant on lack of Kovid hospitals, lack of vaccinations, lack of injections, death of 37 patients in one day on April 17, the Health Secretary Amit Negi has been asked for the answer in this case. . The court has asked the government to ensure that private hospitals will reserve at least 25 percent beds for BPL patients and treat them.
Instructions were given for strict legal action against those who blacklisted the injections. The court has asked to prohibit overcharging in private hospitals, the Health Secretary to make public the empty beds of hospitals, test results, etc. daily. The court directed to submit a detailed report regarding the decision of the cabinet meeting fixed on 22 April regarding ventilator, oxygen bed, daily use injection, test clinic etc., what was done to increase the test. The next hearing will be on May 10.
