Expressing serious concern over the political developments going on in West Bengal, the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) has said that West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has spoken to NCP chief Sharad Pawar and the central government’s efforts to destabilize the Bengal state government Is discussed. Sharad Pawar’s party NCP national spokesperson and Minister of State Nawab Malik said that Mamata Banerjee accused the central government that she was being targeted by the central government before the Bengal elections.
Nawab Malik told reporters, “Sharad Pawar and Mamta Banerjee discussed how the BJP is trying to destabilize Bengal, the central government withdrawing government officials on its own and violating the rights of the state . The way BJP is misusing central agencies is not right. ”
He said that NCP President Sharad Pawar had already discussed issues with Banerjee and would try to unite all other national opposition parties.
He said, “Mamta Banerjee and Sharad Pawar will also hold meetings with other national leaders. Pawar will go to Bengal if needed.” Four months before the elections in Bengal, Mamata Banerjee accused the BJP of trying to come to power in any way and weakening her government and party.
