new Delhi. Today, on the fourth trading day of the week i.e. Thursday, the stock market opened at a flat level. Bombay Stock Exchange’s flagship index Sensex opened at a low of 46,658.36, down by a slight decline of 8.10 points. At the same time, the Nifty of the National Stock Exchange started up 0.40 points at the level of 13,683.10. At 09:46 am, the Sensex gained 72.17 points to trade at 46,738.63 and the Nifty gained 25.30 points to trade at 13,708.00.
BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty closed at new record highs on Wednesday. BSE’s 30-share index Sensex closed at the level of 46,666.46 points on Wednesday, up 403.29 points, or 0.87 per cent. On the other hand, NSE Nifty closed at the level of 13,682.70 points with a rise of 114.85 points i.e. 0.85 per cent. Barring PSU Bank, all other sectors witnessed strong buying in the stock markets due to heavy buying.
Today, major stocks of ONGC, Shree Cement, Power Grid, Divis Lab and Hindalco opened on the green mark. Hindustan Unilever, Asian Paints, Nestle India, Wipro and Tech Mahindra started on the red mark.
