In the upcoming Test series against India, hosts Australia have to face the challenge of two different captains at their home and the Kangaroo can take off with a different approach against their opponent. This is to say that Australian opener David Warner. Indian captain Virat Kohli will return home after playing the first match of the four-match Test series due to the birth of his first child and Ajinkya Rahane is likely to be replaced by the Indian team captain for the remaining three matches.
“Definitely Virat will miss. He is a great player. He (Rahane) is very calm and comes with a very good approach. He has a very good cricketing mind,” Cricinfo quoted Warner on Monday. ”
The 34-year-old Warner added, “He is quite professional and aggressive. He plays tough when you’re there. Rahane is cool. It’s as chalk and cheese as the two of them (Kohli and Rahane). One. They work hard to try and stay on the field as a player. ”
“The good thing for India is that they have three to four good players who can captain the team at any time,” the opener said.
However, before the Test series, T20 series of three ODIs and similar matches are to be played between Australia and India.
