new Delhi. The last rites of late Union Minister and Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) founder Ram Vilas Paswan will be held in Patna on Saturday. Earlier, his body was brought directly from the hospital to his 12 Janpath residence here at 10 am on Friday. This information was received from the Lok Janshakti Party. According to the information, the body of Ram Vilas Paswan will be taken from Delhi to Patna at 2 pm on Friday. His body will be kept in the LJP office in Patna. His funeral will take place in Patna on Saturday next day.
Union Minister Ram Vilas Paswan died in a private hospital here on Thursday. This information through a tweet by his son and LJP National President Chirag Paswan.
President Ram Nath Kovind, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah and other Union ministers and leaders of political parties have mourned the death of Ram Vilas Paswan.
Ram Vilas Paswan split LJP in 2000 with the Janata Dal (United). He was the founding chairman of the LJP before handing over his son Kaman Chirag Paswan to the party last year.
Ram Vilas Paswan was the Minister of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution in the Central Government. Being ill, he was hospitalized for more than a month and recently had a heart operation.
