Mumbai Reliance Jio has tied up with Aeromobile, a unit of Panasonic Avionics Corporation. Under this agreement, the first in-flight mobile connectivity service will be launched in India, which will be valid for Geopostpaid Plus users. Jio has issued a statement saying that Indian passengers going abroad with these flight services will get the right to get the voice and data service even during the flight. They will also get all this at a very cheap rate.
These flight postpaid plans of Jio are 499, 699 and 999 rupees. Each of these will have a validity of 24 hours. This validity will begin with the first call taking during the flight. It will get 100 minutes of outgoing calls, 100 SMS and data up to 250 MB, 500 MB and 1 GB respectively.
The partners under this partnership are Airline Emirates, Etihad Airways, Lufthansa, Virgin Atlantic, Eger Lingus, Air Serbia, Alitalia and Cathay Pacific.
