new Delhi . Defense Minister Rajnath Singh recalled the brave soldiers of the armed forces fighting the Pakistani army and infiltrators during the Kargil war 21 years ago. The Defense Minister garlanded the National War Memorial on the occasion of Victory Day of Kargil paying tribute to the martyred soldiers. The 21st anniversary of Kargil Vijay Diwas is being celebrated on 26 July in India. On this occasion, the country remembered its brave soldiers, who laid down their lives to maintain and protect the integrity of the nation.
Speaking on the occasion, the Defense Minister said, “On the 21st anniversary of the Kargil victory, I would like to salute the brave soldiers of the Indian Armed Forces who fought the enemy in the world’s most challenging conditions in recent history.”
This day is celebrated for the success of Operation Vijay. Operation Vijay, which was launched by the Armed Forces in 1999 to seize Indian territories occupied by Pakistani intruders in the Kargil-Dras sector, was named Operation Vijay.
The minister thanked the soldiers who “sacrificed their lives in the service of the nation. The defense minister also paid tributes to his family members, who, despite losing their loved ones, made national resolutions to drive out enemies from Indian territory.” Stood steadfast with. ”
