Mumbai. Actress Madhuri Dixit Nene recalled how late choreographer Saroj Khan gave one of the best dance performances of her career, marking the completion of 18 years of the release of the film ‘Devdas’. He wrote a lengthy post on Instagram recalling the film, in which he told how the late choreographer prepared him for the song ‘Maara Dala’.
The actress wrote, “Completing 18 years of Devdas, I dedicate it to Saroj ji for giving me the strength behind my best dance performance in the film.”
Madhuri wrote, “It was fun to shoot any song with Saroj ji. ‘Devdas’ was a very special film, because all the songs in this film were very grand. But, I had a song like this with him. Did not do it together. We did a lot of Indian songs together but not classical like this and Saroj ji was also a semi-classical dancer. She used to say that it is a bit Kathak style, take care. She is not among us today, but These are things that I will always remember. ”
He also shared that Saroj Khan insisted on taking tough steps.
Saroj Khan breathed her last on July 3.
