Satara (Maharashtra). Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) president Sharad Pawar on Saturday urged Congress leader Rahul Gandhi not to politicize the issue of national security, and remember when China took 45,000 square kilometers of Indian land after the 1962 Indo-China war. Was captured. Former defense minister Pawar said, “Let us not forget what happened in 1962, when China occupied 45,000 square kilometers of land in India. Before making such allegations one must think what happened in the past Was. ”
Pawar was responding to questions about Rahul Gandhi’s allegations in which he said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi handed over Indian land to China in the recent conflict in the Galvan Valley of Ladakh.

Pawar said, “If our army had not been cautious, we would not have known about the Chinese action. The conflict meant we were cautious or we would have been unaware. It is not right to call it a failure of the defense minister or anyone else, and It is wrong to make such allegations. ”
The NCP chief also referred to the India-China agreement, in which both countries had decided not to fire firearms on the LAC.
On June 15, 20 soldiers of the Bihar Regiment were martyred in a clash with Chinese soldiers in the Galvan Valley, which led to a major political storm.
