Geetanjali, Associate Director of the Kathakatha NGO told, “In our NGO, 8 women from GB Road are coming to make masks. Right now we are training them so that in future they can teach the rest of the women how to make masks. “It is requested that the process of making masks be started in their brothels. We are trying to do this but it will take time now. At present, 750 women are present on GB Road.”
He said, “We have started the training of masks 15 days in advance. Our school is also on the fourth floor, we are trying to shift down. For which I am also talking to DM. Other than this Women will also be able to come in comfort. It took years to build trust, so it took a long time for them to get out. ”
There are 22 buildings on GB Road. All these buildings have a total of 84 rooms and each room has a number. All these rooms are located on the second and third floors. There are 10 to 15 sexworkers in each room. There is a total of 750 sexworkers. The news agency spoke to sexworkers living in the numbers 44, 40 and 51.
