Mumbai: Actress Swara Bhaskar has expressed her disappointment over the permanent suspension of her X (formerly Twitter) account. According to Bhaskar, the suspension was due to alleged copyright infringement on two of her posts, one of which was a Republic Day wish. On Thursday, the actress shared screenshots of the infringement notice on Instagram and clarified her tweet.
Expressing her displeasure, Swara wrote on Instagram, ‘Dear X, two photos in two tweets have been termed as copyright infringement. On this basis, my account has been blocked, I am not able to access it now. I have shared those two photos’.

Swara clarified her post by writing, ‘Gandhi hum sharminda hain, tere kaatil zinda hain. This is a famous slogan, there is no copyright infringement. It is just like a phrase’. Swara questioned how her daughter’s picture could be shown as copyright infringement. Who has the copyright on my child’s likeness? Both these complaints are like a joke for copyright infringement. Swara said that an attempt has been made to suppress her freedom of expression and speech.
Swara Bhaskar has always been vocal about her views and political opinions. She has been vocal about her stance. She has also faced hatred due to this. Currently, Swara is enjoying her motherhood and is on a break. She was last seen in the film Mimansa which was released in 2022. Now her upcoming film is Mrs. Falani. Swara married politician Fahad Ahmed in 2023 and gave birth to a daughter named Rabia in the same year.
