Retired IPS officer Dr SN Sabat has been appointed as the chairman of Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC). He retired from the post of Director General of Police (DG) on 31 December 2024. Yogi government has given him a very important responsibility on the second day itself. 1990 batch IPS officer Sabat has held many important posts, apart from IG zone of Lucknow, he has also been the police captain in many districts, including ASP in Ayodhya and Varanasi and SP in Agra, Jalaun, Mirzapur and Fatehpur.
During his tenure, SN Sabat played an important role in maintaining law and order. A record was also set in Lucknow zone during his tenure, which was praised by the Prime Minister.
It is said about SN Sabat that he used to take immediate action in any case. He did not stop any file or complaint. If needed, he used to solve the problem by calling. Recently, he was honored by Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel for his work.
SN Sabat gets new responsibility
The post of Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission Chairman was lying vacant for a long time. After the retirement of former IAS officer Praveen Kumar, there was a constant speculation about who would be given the responsibility of UPSSSC. There were speculations about this because many cases are stuck or pending in the court, due to which the opposition is constantly attacking the government.
The post of UPSSSC Chairman is considered very important, the commission has the responsibility of all the posts from Group B to D of UP. In such a situation, it will be a big responsibility to recruit on time and with transparency.
