Moradabad. A shocking story has come to light in the well-planned violence that took place during the survey of Jama Masjid in Sambhal on Sunday. The story of planned violence has been revealed in the interrogation of 27 accused who have been sent to jail. According to the police, bricks, stones and glass bottles were already collected on the roofs of the houses as per the planned preparations.
The women were clearly told that if they get caught in the retaliatory action of the police while taking the front, then attack from the roofs for protection. This is what happened. When the police became strict after the rioters started dominating, the women took the front from the roofs.
They attacked the officers and employees of the police-administration. They attacked with bricks, stones and glass bottles. On this, the police dispersed and the rioters started firing after getting the opportunity. The names of the masterminds and the main people associated with the violence have also been revealed from the accused. Their search has also been started.
Commissioner Anjaneya Kumar Singh said that the accused are being identified on the basis of videos and photos. So far 74 accused have been identified. Information is being received about involvement of people from other districts as well. Investigation is going on in all directions. The 27 accused sent to jail by Sambhal police in the violence include two women Rukaiya, Farmana and a young girl Nazarana.
Police is interrogating each accused separately
Police interrogated each accused separately regarding the violence. Then they were also made to face each other. On the question of women’s involvement in the incident, it was said that it happened as per the pre-planned scheme. After the attack on the police, in case the situation went out of control, the women were to come out of their homes. This strategy was so that when the women would come forward, the police would also take a step back and the rioters would be able to escape taking advantage of this. This is what happened. Police caught both the women and the young girl from the spot itself.
The rioters were called from Shahjahanpur as well, links to many other districts are connected
Among the 27 accused sent to jail is Mohd. Haider is a resident of Shahjahanpur. When the police gathered inputs based on the accused, it was found that rioters were called from Shahjahanpur as well. Not only this, it has come to light that many other districts are also involved. A separate list of the accused from other districts has been prepared and teams have been sent to the respective districts.
Meanwhile, Haider’s phone CDR (call detail record) is also being investigated. It is being seen that from the day the message of unity was spread during Friday prayers in Sambhal, till just before the incident, with whom he was in contact. The process of verifying each one has started by sending police teams to everyone’s homes.
Youths were appealed to gather in maximum numbers
According to the police, the investigation so far has revealed that a large number of young boys were involved in the violence. Who were wearing masks. Youths are also seen in the video released by the Information Department on Wednesday. During interrogation, it was found that a formal appeal was made to the youth to gather in large numbers. As per the plan, the message was conveyed to each other secretly.
People were present in the mosque before the survey
Advocate Commissioner Ramesh Raghav had gone to Jama Masjid early Sunday morning with DM-SP and police force to get videography done. At that time, more than a hundred people were present in the mosque. The DM said that the survey was done only after the people present in the mosque were taken out.
To hide their identity, the rioters broke the CCTV cameras with bricks and sticks
While examining the CCTV footage during the violence, the police found out that the cameras installed on the route of Jama Masjid were reconnoitered. After this, the cameras were targeted just before the riot. Some youths point towards the CCTV camera and in a short while break it by hitting it with a brick. Apart from this, a person is seen breaking another CCTV with a stick.
