Keeping in mind the increasing risk of breast cancer in women, IIT Kanpur in Uttar Pradesh has designed a smart innerwear (bra). It has a device that can easily detect the symptoms of breast cancer within 1 minute of wearing it. This device is going to make women aware about breast cancer and will prove to be very effective after it comes in the market.
It has been designed in such a special way that all the information related to it can be easily found out. This device will remain connected to the mobile and will also keep preparing complete data related to the wearer. This special bra has been prepared under the supervision of Professor Amitabh, Head of the Department of Bio Science and Bio Engineering at IIT Kanpur. Currently, the clinical trial of this device is going on. Researcher Shreya Narayan has prepared it under the supervision of Professor Amitabh.
What does Shreya say?
The researcher of this device, Shreya, says that if there is a breast cancer patient in someone’s family, then he should take special care of himself because this disease is spreading very fast and sometimes proves fatal. The main reason for the rapid spread of this disease is not getting treated at the right time. After this device comes in the market, women will be able to know about the disease in time.
Stage will be known
The stage of breast cancer will also be clear through this device. Shreya told that this smart innerwear is equipped with a sensor device. Its price will be around 5 thousand rupees after coming in the market. She said that it is expected that soon within this year the innerwear will be made available in the market.
Charge will remain for a month
This innerwear is completely chargeable and will work for 1 month after charging once. Currently, after the arrival of this device, women will have to download an app in their mobile and connect it. Data will be collected daily in it and in case of cancer symptoms, the device will suggest doctor checkup. This device is portable. There will be no problem in its maintenance.
This special type of innerwear has been made in IIT Kanpur in one year. Expert IIT Professor Amitabh Bandopadhyay has claimed that this special device is not yet available in the market across the world. Research Fellow Shreya Nair of Kanpur IIT has prepared this smart bra after a lot of study and research. She says that many times women are not able to know the symptoms of breast cancer in time, due to which this disease is spreading very fast in them. They come to know about cancer only when they reach the last stage.
