A case of kidnapping and conversion of a Hindu girl has come to light in Banda, Uttar Pradesh. The family alleges that a Muslim youth kidnapped the girl and took her to Mumbai. Then he converted her religion and married her. Not only this, he also changed her name to Iqra. The police have registered a case on the complaint of the family and recovered both of them. The police recorded the girl’s statement in the court and sent the accused youth to jail. Further legal action has been started. At the same time, the officials of Vishwa Hindu Parishad reached the village and met the victim’s family. They alleged that the accused youth is also being funded from somewhere for love jihad. They have demanded legal action by the police after investigation. What was the matter The case is of Girwan police station area. The family living here told the police that on May 20, on the day of voting, Shakeel Ahmed of Mahua village along with his companions made our daughter smell some intoxicant and kidnapped her from the house. After this, the police registered a case under section 366 and started the search. The police went to Mumbai and recovered both of them and started interrogation.
‘The accused threatened to kill her’
The girl said that he took her away from here after making her smell something. When she regained consciousness, she found herself in a train. When she tried to plead for help, the accused threatened to kill her. This made her keep quiet. It is also alleged that the accused took her to Mumbai and kept her at a close friend’s house. Along with this, he forced the victim girl to convert to Islam in a mosque by threatening her. After conversion, his name was also changed to Iqra. After this, he forcibly married her and raped her.
‘The mental condition of the girl is also not good’
After the incident, Vishwa Hindu Parishad President Chandra Mohan Bedi reached the village with his team. He talked to the family members and demanded action from the administration. He alleged that this love jihad case is being funded from somewhere. If the police investigates, the whole matter will be exposed. Apart from this, the family members told that the mental condition of the girl was also not good and the accused youth had posted things like Nikahnama and threats on social media, after which we came to know about the matter.

SHO Girwan Rakesh Tiwari said that in this case, a case was registered under section 366 on the basis of the complaint of the victim girl’s family. After this, both were recovered. The girl’s statement has been recorded in the court. After this, section 376 of IPC, section of religious conversion has been added. The accused youth has been sent to jail.
