Varanasi: The enthusiasm to welcome Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who reached Kashi for the first time after declaring his candidature for the Lok Sabha elections for the third time, spilled out on the streets on Saturday night.
On the 28 kilometer route from Babatpur to Banaras Railway Engine Factory (Bareka) via Vishwanath Dham, the people of Kashi showered rose petals on their MP. Danced to the beat of drums. The Prime Minister, who came to his parliamentary constituency for the second time in a fortnight, was welcomed with loud slogans of Modi-Modi amid chants of Jai Shri Ram and Har Har Mahadev.

Reached Vishwanath Dham, visited Kashipuradhipati as per the rituals and took blessings of all auspiciousness and Vijayashree. The Prime Minister reached Lal Bahadur Shastri International Airport at 7.30 pm. Here, party officials and administrative officials including Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath welcomed him.

The enthusiasm of the people of Kashi and workers kept overflowing in the announcement of welcoming the PM till Srikashi Vishwanath Dham. PM reached Bareka Guest House by road

After darshan-puja in Azamgarh today, PM reached Bareka Guest House by road. After night rest, we will leave for Azamgarh by helicopter at around 11 am on Sunday morning. There he will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of 15 airports of the country from the newly constructed airport in Manduri. During this time he will also address the public meeting. After this we will return to Varanasi and from here depart for New Delhi.
