Bareilly. A case of fraud with a retired colonel has come to light in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh. The thing to note is that the retired colonel was duped by threatening him with an obscene video and the one who duped him was none other than a fake IPS officer.
By showing the fear of obscene video, the fake IPS along with his associates cheated a retired colonel of Rs 2.30 lakh. It is alleged that after this the accused demanded the iPhone saying that the case would be closed. On the orders of SSP, Baradari police has written an FIR on the basis of IPS Crime Branch Prem Prakash, DIG Crime Branch Sanjay Arora, Rahul Sharma and two phone numbers.
Naked girl seen in the video
Retired colonel, resident of Baradari, said that he received a video call on his mobile at 10 pm on 24th September. When he called back, a naked girl was seen in the video. As soon as he saw this he disconnected the phone. Here, he started receiving repeated calls from the concerned number on which he blocked the number.
Called himself Delhi Police Crime Branch officer
On September 26, he got a call from another number. The caller identified himself as IPS Prem Prakash from Delhi Police Crime Branch. Inquiries started regarding the video. Said that your video was received through a caller. We have stopped your video. If this gets broadcasted, you will be in great disrepute. The retired colonel was surprised to hear this.
2.30 lakh cheated by cheating
After this, the accused grabbed Rs 2.30 lakh from him on the pretext of deleting the video. When he called Prem Prakash regarding the deletion of the video, he told him that the girl had committed suicide. Demanded iPhone 14 Pro in exchange for closing the case. The entire matter reached the SSP. On the orders of SSP, Baradari police has written an FIR and started investigation.
