In a road accident in Lucknow a year ago, a doctor from Kanpur lost his life due to the airbags of his Scorpio car not opening. While purchasing the car, the company employees had said that it was the best car from safety point of view. A year ago, the doctor dies in a car accident. After this, the father of the deceased doctor had opened a front against the company. He fought a long battle for justice for his son’s death. After this, on the orders of the court, a case has been registered against 13 officials including company owner Anand Mahindra in Raipurwa police station of Kanpur.
Let us tell you that Rajesh Mishra, a resident of Juhi Baradevi, Kanpur, has been an accountant in a hospital. His only son Dr. Apoorva Mishra died in this accident. In December 2020, Rajesh Mishra had bought a Mahindra Scorpio car worth Rs 18 lakh for his son from the showroom located at Jarib Chowki, Kanpur. While buying the car, the company employees had said that it was the best car in terms of safety.
The father of the deceased accused the company of fraud
On January 14, 2022, two years after purchasing the car, Rajesh’s doctor son was going from Lucknow with his two friends. Then the Scorpio car collided with a divider and overturned. Due to this, Doctor Apoorva, who was driving the car, died. After this, Apoorva’s father Rajesh had complained against Mahindra Company accusing it of fraud.
Airbag did not open during the accident
He said that the son was wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident, but none of the airbags mentioned in the car deployed. Due to which his son died. The people of the company did not listen to the father of the deceased doctor and even threatened him by blaming him for his repeated visits to the company.
FIR against 13 including Anand Mahindra
After this Rajesh took refuge in the court for justice for his son’s death. After this, due to the court order, FIR has been registered against 13 officials including Mahindra company owner Anand Mahindra. Kanpur Police officials say that investigation has been started in the entire matter. Legal action will be taken if the accused are proven guilty.
