Lucknow. No roadways bus should run at night with less than 25 passengers. Buses should be operated only when there are 35 passengers in a day. Online service and the last bus on the route will be exempted from this rule. The Transport Corporation is likely to get less passengers during Shraddha Paksha starting from 29th September and further Navratri. That is why special preparations have been made.
Transport Minister Dayashankar Singh has said that buses should be operated during this period keeping in mind the convenience of the passengers. The Transport Minister has instructed the officials to improve the operation of the corporation’s buses in the lean season, so that no one faces any problem, and ways to increase the load factor and operating income of the buses should be adopted.
In this, except for a route with one bus service, no service should be operated at night with less than 55 percent load factor. During this period, if the timetable of buses changes, passengers should be informed about it, so that passengers can make alternative arrangements in time.
Make the timetable of buses operating on rural routes such that the rural service reaches its destination by seven in the evening and does not operate before seven in the morning. He said that the officers should inspect that there should not be less than 25 passengers in the bus at any place.
Cancel the concerned bus and shift the passengers to another bus. The bus starting from the local bus station should be canceled only in relation to the bus coming from behind, so that no passenger has to face any disruption or inconvenience in completing the journey. Traffic should not be disrupted. Regular and timely operation of buses should be done at every level.
