Noida: A heart-wrenching case has come to light from Noida in Uttar Pradesh. Where a student doing PhD from Delhi University allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself. Inspector Vindhyachal Tiwari, in-charge of Police Station Phase-2, said on Tuesday that Neelakshi Pathak (28 years) of Guwahati district of Assam province lived with her husband Akash in Lotus Panas Society, Sector 110 and was pursuing PhD from Delhi University. He told that last night Neelakshi told a friend during online chatting that she was going to commit suicide.
According to the in-charge inspector, Neelakshi hanged herself by tying a cloth to the ceiling fan before her friend could reach her. He was taken out of the trap and taken to the hospital, where the doctors declared him dead. Tiwari said that the police is probing the matter. At the same time, the police also told that along with the student of Delhi University, five other people have also committed suicide and embraced death. He told that Lovely Khatoon (15 years), living in Gejha village, committed suicide by hanging herself last night. He said that during the investigation, the police came to know that she was upset after her father scolded her for talking to a boy.
Inspector-in-charge of Police Station Sector 126 Satyendra Kumar Singh said that Suresh Arya (25 years), a resident of Shahpur village, hanged himself at his house last night due to mental stress. He worked at Jaypee Hospital, Sector 128. At the same time, a police spokesperson said that Kumari Neha (20 years), living in Sector 58 police station, hanged herself at home last night. He told that Anil Kumar (21 years), living in Sector 140 of Police Station Sector 142 area, committed suicide by hanging himself. The spokesman said that Rakesh (42 years), a resident of Bilaspur under Thana Dankaur area, committed suicide by consuming poisonous substance.
