There will be a CBI inquiry into the fake admissions in AYUSH colleges. The state government has taken this decision under the policy of zero tolerance against corruption.
After the irregularities came to light in the initial investigation of the case, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath directed to conduct a CBI inquiry into the matter. After this, the Home Department has sent a letter to the Central Government to conduct a CBI inquiry into the matter. It is believed that soon the CBI will take up the investigation of the case, after which the legal screws will be tightened on even the elders involved in the fake admissions.

In the case of admission of 891 fake students in Ayurveda, Homeopathic and Unani colleges, the role of the company operator and other accused is under investigation. Documents related to admission kept in the directorate including colleges have been sealed.
The role of the officers and employees of Directorate of Ayurveda, Directorate of Homeopathic and Directorate of Unani is also under doubt in this matter. The CBI will now investigate his role in depth. Most of the disturbances have happened in Ayurveda colleges. In the academic session 2021, bypassing the merit of NEET UG, many such candidates were admitted in AYUSH colleges, whose names were not in the merit list. Similarly, good colleges were also allotted to students with less merit. There was a lot of rigging in the admissions of undergraduate courses in Ayurveda, Homeopathic and Unani colleges. About 891 such students were wrongly admitted in BAMS, BUMS and BHMS courses.
Six students who got wrongly admitted in Government Ayurved College located in capital Lucknow have also been suspended. Now the whole game will come to the fore in matching the merit list of NEET UG 2021 and the list of students enrolled in colleges.
It is alleged that in the name of admission in AYUSH colleges of Uttar Pradesh, seats were bargained. Five lakh rupees were taken for admission in government colleges of Ayurveda and up to three and a half lakh rupees for admission in private colleges. On the other hand, in homeopathic colleges, Rs 4 lakh was charged for admission in government colleges and Rs 2.5 lakh for admission in private colleges. In Unani colleges, up to Rs 2.5 lakh was collected.
