Membership of another MLA has been canceled in UP. Recently, the membership of Samajwadi Party’s Rampur MLA Azam Khan was canceled. After this, now the membership of BJP MLA Vikram Singh Saini has also been canceled. The BJP MLA was sentenced to two years by the MP-MLA Court.
MP-MLA court had heard Khatauli MLA Vikram Saini of BJP. After which RLD chief Jayant Chaudhary sent a letter to the Speaker. In which Rajya Sabha MP had demanded from Satish Mahana to cancel his membership after the BJP MLA was punished. Now on their demand, the Speaker of the Assembly has taken this decision.
By-elections will be held on these seats
However, it is being told that Vikram Saini’s membership was automatically canceled with the punishment. But now soon the assembly secretariat will declare Vikram Saini’s seat vacant. Before this, along with Azam Khan’s seat, there will be a by-election on Khatauli seat soon. In the 2013 Kawal incident in Muzaffarnagar, 12 people including BJP MLA Vikram Saini were convicted.
After which the MP MLA court had imposed a sentence of 2 years each and a monetary penalty of ten thousand rupees to all the culprits. Shortly after the sentencing, all the 12 convicts were also granted bail. In this case, the police had registered a case against 28 people including BJP MLA Vikram Saini from Khatauli assembly seat under sections 147, 148, 149, 307, 336, 353, 504 and 506.
