Gorakhpur. A strange case of illicit relations has come to light in Gorakhpur. The woman along with her lover fled from her in-laws’ house. The husband, who reached home from Mumbai on giving information to his relatives, reached the Harpur-Budhat police station and lodged a complaint against the accused. The panchayat was going on near the police station with the woman and her lover, in which the husband also reached. During the panchayat, he kept pleading with his wife to go home but she left with the lover.
This is the case
The girl, a resident of a village in Harpur Budhat police station area, was married a year ago at Farenda in Maharajganj district. The girl had a love affair with a young man living in a neighboring village for about two years. After marriage, as a brother, the lover used to reach her in-laws’ house to meet her. About a week ago, the girl called her lover in-laws and eloped with her. When relatives informed the husband who went to work in Mumbai, he reached home. After the search was not found, he lodged a complaint at Harpur-Budhat police station. The girl’s relatives called a panchayat near Rathane in which the husband had also reached. During the four-hour-long panchayat, the girl remained adamant on being with her lover. Udaybhan Singh, Public Hearing Officer of Harpur-Budhat police station, said the girl is an adult. Both the parties have been asked to apply in the court.
Husband ate poison, death due to not coming from wife’s maternal home
When the wife did not come from her maternal home, the husband consumed the poisonous substance. When the situation worsened, the relatives were taken to the medical college where he died during treatment. Sunil Rajbhar, a resident of Bungalow Tola, Jungle Dumri number two of Gulriha police station area, was married to Annu, a resident of Sherpur Chamrahe in Chiluatal area. The wife was in the maternal house for a month. Two days ago Sunil went to the in-laws’ house to pick up his wife but she did not come with him. He left the in-laws’ house to go home and consumed poisonous substance on the way. On being informed, relatives took him to BRD Medical College.
