Lucknow. In Uttar Pradesh, there has been an uproar in some departments regarding the irregularities in the transfers and in the meantime there is talk of internal tussle in the Jalshakti department. There is talk of resignation of Dinesh Khatik, Minister of State for Jal Shakti in Yogi government. It has been told that he was annoyed by the neglect by the departmental officers. There is also talk of conflict of rights with the senior minister.
Dinesh Khatik, who was elected MLA for the second consecutive time from Hastinapur seat of Meerut, was made a minister of state in this government like Yogi Sarkar 1.0. He was entrusted with the responsibility of Jal Shakti Department along with Cabinet Minister Swatantra Dev Singh. On Tuesday evening, news of Dinesh Khatik submitting his resignation letter made headlines on internet media and channels.
According to sources, he is upset over the non-heard by the officials. Serious allegations have also been made against colleagues. The minister was called in this regard, but the mobile was switched off. The resignation was not confirmed by the Chief Minister’s Office and Swatantra Dev Singh also categorically denied any such information.
However, when CM Yogi Adityanath held a meeting with all the ministers in the afternoon, there was no sign of it. It is learned that Jal Shakti Minister Swatantradev Singh held a meeting with the officials of Rural Water Supply Department at Kisan Bhawan in the capital on Monday. The Minister of State had reached Khatik in it, but left the meeting midway. It is discussed that there was some tussle regarding the transfers, in which they were not listened to.
It is noteworthy that last month, Dinesh Khatik had reached the police station in Ganganagar, Meerut in connection with the assault of a tent businessman by the policemen. There he had a dispute with the Inspector. Alleging misbehavior with him, the minister announced his resignation and had also returned his security personnel. However, the matter was later closed after intervention from the higher level. Khatik is a Dalit leader of the party in western Uttar Pradesh and is associated with the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh.
