Lucknow. The Yogi Adityanath government of Uttar Pradesh is constructing a 594 km long Ganga Expressway from Meerut to Prayagraj. For this, the process of land acquisition has been done and in December 2021, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also laid the foundation stone for it in Shahjahanpur. After the Government of Uttar Pradesh, the Ministry of Environment and Forests of the Government of India on Thursday also gave environmental clearance to the Uttar Pradesh Expressway Industrial Development Authority (UPEDA) for this expressway.
Uttar Pradesh Industrial Development Minister Nand Gopal Gupta ‘Nandi’ has tweeted in this regard that the environmental clearance for Ganga Expressway is a testimony of our commitment to complete the development projects within a stipulated time frame. Now the construction work of Ganga Expressway will proceed with more speed.
Earlier, Minister Nand Gopal Gupta ‘Nandi’ reviewed the progress of the targets of 100 days and the action plan for the next six months in his office located at Vidhan Bhavan. Officials said that the construction of Ganga Expressway will be started in six months. New expressway routes will be identified.
Implementation of 352 reforms will be completed under Ease of Doing Business. The target is to implement New Electric Vehicle Policy, New Industrial Policy, Revised Warehousing and Logistics Policy, Revised Defense and Aerospace Units and Employment Promotion Policy. Infrastructure and Industrial Development Commissioner Arvind Kumar, Secretary Sujata Sharma and other officers were present in the meeting.
The Ganga Expressway will pass through 12 districts of UP from Meerut to Prayagraj. This expressway will connect the eastern and western regions of UP. This expressway will start from Bijauli village of Meerut on Meerut-Bulandshahr route and will end near Judapur Dandu village on Prayagraj bypass. This expressway will also reduce the distance between Meerut and Prayagraj. The journey of more than 11 hours will be completed in eight hours through this.
