Alert has been declared in Uttar Pradesh after the sensational incident of slitting throat of Taylor Kanhaiya Lal, who wrote a post on social media in support of former Bharatiya Janata Party spokesperson Nupur Sharma in Udaipur, Rajasthan. UP Police has increased surveillance of social media. Instructions have been given to keep an eye on any suspicious activity. After the violence after Friday prayers in many cities of Uttar Pradesh, the police do not want to be negligent in any way.
The Uttar Pradesh government has also issued a high alert in view of the ruthless killing of Taylor Kanhaiyalal, who wrote a post on internet media in support of Nupur Sharma in Rajasthan’s Udaipur. The government has instructed the police to take full vigil and increase the foot march. Violent demonstrations have already taken place in Uttar Pradesh regarding Nupur Sharma’s case. Taking a lesson from these incidents, the police do not want to take any kind of risk now. Therefore, the DGP Headquarters has also issued an immediate alert.
The DGP Headquarters has instructed all the districts to increase vigilance in their respective places and speed up the investigation of suspects. It states that wherever suspicious activities are seen, immediate action should be taken. Vigilance should be increased in crowded and sensitive areas. There should be no negligence in this matter.
In Udaipur, Rajasthan, a person who posted on internet media in support of former BJP national spokesperson Nupur Sharma was found murdered on Tuesday by slitting his throat. The deceased had posted on internet media in support of Nupur Sharma about ten days ago. Two attackers entered the tailor’s shop of the deceased in broad daylight on Tuesday and inflicted several blows on him with swords. Both the accused slit the throat of the deceased with a sword.
After committing the murder, both the accused have claimed responsibility for the murder by putting a video on the internet media. In the video, both the accused have threatened to kill Prime Minister Narendra Modi while waving blood-stained swords. Late in the evening, the police took both the accused into custody from Bhima in Rajsamand district. To maintain peace and order, curfew has been imposed in Udaipur district till further orders along with internet shutdown for 24 hours. People associated with Hindu organizations and local citizens protested against the incident.
