New Delhi. Team India’s opening pair has been fixed for the last Test against England to be played in Birmingham from July 1. After KL Rahul got injured, the market of discussions was hot as to who would open with Rohit Sharma but now it has been decided that Shubman Gill will open against England with captain Rohit. Rahul got injured before the series against South Africa. However, his replacement has not been announced yet.
A video of Rohit and Shubman Gill practicing has been shared on the Indian cricket team’s Instagram page, in which it is written that Team India batting on the first day of the Openers Nets session. The 5th match of the 5-match series was rescheduled due to Kovid-19. Currently, Team India is leading 2-1 in this 5-match series and has a chance to win the series. Apart from this, the captains of both the teams have also changed in the 5th match. The captaincy of England is in the hands of Ben Stokes, while the command of Team India is handled by Rohit Sharma.
Team India will play warm-up match before the test
Team India will also play a warm-up match against Leicestershire from June 24 to June 27 before the Test starting from July 1. This match will be played at Grace Road Leicester.

Apart from the rescheduled Test against England, Team India will also play a series of 3 ODIs and 3 T20 matches. The last match of the series will be played on July 17.
