Lucknow. Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav said that the mindset of the BJP government is anti-farmer. The capital-houses are being nurtured at the expense of the farmers. Sugarcane farmers owe billions of rupees to cooperative sugar mills. The sugar mill of Kheri owes 13 billion rupees to the sugarcane farmers. The BJP government is continuously lying about the dues.
In a statement issued on Saturday, the SP President said that why the BJP government, which has promised to pay sugarcane in 14 days, does not tell why the farmers have not been paid so far? There are two cooperative and seven private sector sugar mills in Kheri district. Millions of rupees are outstanding on sugar mills in Bareilly, Budaun, Pilibhit and Shahjahanpur districts of Rohilkhand. Farmers are suffering from poverty. The farmers buried under the false claims of loan waiver of the BJP government are going to be known.
Fakir Chand, a 70-year-old farmer living in Tulsi Patti in village Kunwarpur of Nawabganj, Bareilly, has some agricultural land on which he had taken a loan of Rs 40,000 in the year 2008 to install a pumpset. On the demand of four times the interest of Rs 1.80 lakh on this loan, the senses of the elderly were blown away and he lost his life in minutes.
Due to the pro-capitalist policy of the BJP, wheat crop was not sold at the purchasing centers this year. Five big companies have bought wheat from farmers at throwaway prices. Now companies will sell flour in the market at expensive prices to earn their profits. This will affect the common man.
Let us inform that earlier, Akhilesh, while attacking the Yogi government, had said that Uttar Pradesh has become a crime hub. Law and order has completely collapsed. Incidents of robbery and violence are increasing continuously. Criminal incidents are being carried out under the shadow of the police administration. The people of the state are feeling insecure, while the spirits of the criminals are high. Akhilesh said in his statement that cases of kidnapping, kidnapping and extortion are increasing rapidly.
