Chaubepur (Kanpur). On Monday, the police and tehsil administration confiscated properties worth 50 crores acquired on the basis of crime of gangster Vikas Dubey, the main accused of Bikru case. The gangster had 18 properties in his name, while the rest were in the name of his wife, children and parents and close relatives.
On the night of July 2, 2020, eight police personnel, including CO Bilhaur Devendra Mishra, were killed by gangster Vikas Dubey and his associates in Bikru during the raid. After this, Vikas Dubey and his five other associates were killed in the encounter by the Special Task Force. Then on the instructions of the government, the Special Investigation Team (SIT) started the investigation, in which the gangster and his cashier Jai Bajpai had found evidence of acquiring huge property from Jarayam. The police had also taken action against them under the Gangster Act. Under this, the properties of the offender are confiscated. On the orders of DM Neha Sharma, the properties of Notorious were evaluated in the past. Among the seized properties are Vikas Dubey’s name in Bikru, Bhiti and Sakarwan agricultural land and ruined houses, Richa Dubey’s name in Chaubepur Pakkhan in the year 2015. Plot purchased in the year 2015 and residential plot purchased in Maloun in the year 2014 in the name of sister Chandrakata Tiwari in Basen and Bikru Agricultural land, in the name of nephew Aman, Gagan, Pawan and Kuldeep, agricultural land is in Rampur Sakhrej, in the name of sister Rekha Devi, there is agricultural land in the excavation of Bilhaur. Tehsildar Bilhaur has been appointed as the receiver of the seized properties.

The administration has also attached two tractors, a rotavator, a thresher machine, a trolley, a harrow, a cultivator, a motorcycle and two cars in the name of Vikas Dubey. There is a car in the name of nephew Aman. At the same time, 653 sacks of food grains of gangsters kept in Panchayat Bhawan in Tehsil Auditorium were also auctioned. Regional Food Officer Hemant Kumar said, in the auction process, 608 bags of wheat and 45 bags of rice were auctioned for one lakh five thousand rupees. The price was eight lakhs in the market price, but the food grains that have been closed since two years have got spoiled.
