Strict action should be taken against the black marketers who create artificial scarcity of them. Sand, moorang and ballast should be available to the general public at reasonable rates. The state government is fully committed for the smooth conduct of mining business in the state.
The Chief Minister said in the program of the launch of e-service “Mine Mitra” portal for mining operations on Saturday that in the last five years there has been transparency in mining operations in the state. Innovative efforts have been made to provide convenience to the common man. In this sequence, with the online e-service, the unified portal “Mine Mitra” (http://minemitra.up.gov.in/) is being launched for mining management and the general public for private mining related works. Convenience will be there.
Mine Mitra portal will prove useful to the general public, farmer, lessee, stockist, retailer, transporter to get various permission letters for mining operations. Various services of the Mining Department are easily available on this portal. One has to remove soil from his personal land, transport the purchased soil, lease for mineral works, permit, registration etc. have been linked to this platform. This will also make it easier to make online payments to brick kilns.
The Chief Minister said that our aim is to ensure a transparent process for all the people involved in mining work. Keep the price under control. Equal opportunities can be made available to new businessmen by freeing them from the monopoly and bondage established in the market. Positive results have been seen in this direction. Earlier it was very difficult to get permission for small works. There were also complaints of corruption and lateness due to manual applications. The online portal will not only enable timely disposal of applications, but will also make the system more transparent.
Mining should not be done outside the allotted area: The Chief Minister said that the department will have to ensure that mining operations do not take place outside the allotted area. Mining should not be done in excess of the transport permit. Doing mining work by putting Pokeland machines in the middle of the river’s mainstream is playing with the nature of the river. Such activities should be strictly prohibited. Do not overload under any circumstances. It causes major accidents. He said that geo-fencing of mining areas through Integrated Mining Surveillance, Mine Tags on vehicles transporting minerals, Artificial Intelligence based check gate system would make mining operations more transparent.
Rock Phosphate and Potash will become medium of investment: The Chief Minister said that process is being started for the receipt of Rock Phosphate in Lalitpur district and Potash and Iron ore in Lalitpur and Sonbhadra. It will become a medium of large investment in Vindhya and Bundelkhand. This will also create employment.
