Lucknow. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has advised the members of the Legislative Assembly to stay away from contract-lease and transfer-posting. He said that a person’s decency and patience propel him forward. At the same time, his haste, arrogance, affection for contract-leasing and transfer-posting and the habit of interfering in every single matter, roll him down, whether it is Parliament or Vidhan Sabha. A good image will support you for life, but if it gets hurt even a little, it will become a curse.
Addressing a two-day enlightenment program for the members of the Eighteenth Legislative Assembly on Saturday, the Chief Minister said that negativity does not move any public representative. He said that politics should not be allowed to come in the way of development work.
Some people’s representatives make neutrality not only with ministers but also with development works and when elections come, they face a crisis. If people’s representatives join the development schemes and take them forward, then they will get credit for it. He also gave a mantra to the members to rise above the casteist mindset and work for resolving the problems of the people. Saying that if there was casteist politics in the state, then how Finance Minister Suresh Kumar Khanna won elections for the ninth time in a row and Assembly Speaker Satish Mahana for the eighth time.

Do not misuse the power of the committees of the House: Yogi said that the role of the committees of the Legislative Assembly is as advisory. Many committees call the officers and pass orders directly. The members of the committee should not do any work which may cause trouble. The committees of the house are mini legislative assembly but they should not misuse their power. He also suggested holding meetings of Legislative Council and Committees of Legislative Assembly on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Honor the ideal MLAs: The Chief Minister inspired the MLAs to interact regularly with the public. Said that we create hypnosis only by addressing in front of the public. This hypnosis turns into votes. Advised the members to effectively express their point of view in the least number of words in the House. Requested the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly that arrangements should be made to honor two-three ideal MLAs who are active and well behaved in the House.
President will address the joint sitting of both the houses on 6th: The Chief Minister told the members that in the special session on June 6, President Ram Nath Kovind will address the joint sitting of both the houses of the Legislature.
Will be proficient in e-Vidhan with practice: Yogi said that after the implementation of e-Vidhan, the Legislative Assembly of the country’s largest state, Uttar Pradesh, is looking as it should. The tablet mounted on each member’s desk under e-Vidhan is as simple to use as your smartphone. After training, if you try your hand at this, then you will become proficient in the proceedings of the House along with e-Vidhan.
