Lucknow. The troubles of the absconding IPS officer Manilal Patidar are about to increase. The Uttar Pradesh government has sent a recommendation to the central government to sack Manilal Patidar, who is absconding after the death of Mahoba’s crusher businessman Indrakant Tripathi. The state government has already suspended the rewarded Patidar of one lakh.
Manilal Patidar is absconding for almost one and a half years. Police have not been able to find him yet. A reward of one lakh rupees has also been announced on him from Prayagraj ADG zone level. Despite this, his arrest has not yet been made. After completing the formalities, the state government has sent a recommendation to the Center for sacking. The decision of dismissal is to be taken by the Union Home Ministry.
In September 2020, Manilal Patidar, who was the Superintendent of Police in Mahoba, was suspended by the government after the death of Indrakant Tripathi. The government had ordered their vigilance inquiry on September 11, 2020. Even in the Vigilance investigation, his recovery game during his posting in Mahoba has been exposed.
Let us tell you that Mahoba’s crusher businessman Indrakant Tripathi was found injured due to bullet injuries in his car on September 8, 2020. After that he was admitted to the hospital. The businessman died on 13 September in the hospital. A few days before his death, the businessman had accused Manilal Patidar of corruption.
After Indrakant’s death, his brother alleged that Patidar had demanded a bribe of Rs 6 lakh from Tripathi. Manilal had threatened that if the money was not given within a week, he would be killed or sent to jail.
After this, Patidar was suspended from service due to allegations of corruption and an inquiry was ordered. A murder case is also registered against Manilal Patidar. Declaring him a fugitive, a reward of 50 thousand was first announced on Manilal, which was later increased to one lakh.
Manilal Patidar is absconding since November 15 in connection with the death of businessman Indrakant. Several teams of police are engaged in their search. Despite this, his arrest has not yet been made. There are also many complaints of corruption against Patidar. Taking cognizance of this matter, Chief Minister Yogi gave instructions for strict action.
