Meerut. The condition of two friends deteriorated after drinking alcohol in Meerut on Sunday morning. On screaming, the people around ran and admitted to the hospital. The doctors declared one youth brought dead while the condition of the other is critical. The third friend had brought liquor, he has been taken into custody by the police. At the same time, in this case, CEO Arvind Chaurasia says that some people are being interrogated by taking them into custody. The body has been sent for post-mortem.

Pintu, Ajay and Rakesh, residents of Sarai Lal Das of Dehli Gate area, were sitting outside the house at 6:00 am. During this, Rakesh brought country liquor from near Jatav Gate. As soon as Pintu and Ajay drank alcohol, their condition worsened. On screaming, the people around also came out of the houses and hurriedly took them to KMC Hospital from where the doctors referred them. After which the relatives were taken to Sai Hospital where Pintu was declared brought dead. Ajay has been admitted by the family members to Nutrima Hospital where his condition remains critical.
Police detained four people
Apart from Rakesh, the police have detained four people including the liquor seller. The relatives of the deceased have alleged that he died by drinking spurious liquor. They say that with the connivance of the police, liquor is being sold openly from homes. CEO Arvind Chaurasia says that some people are being questioned by taking them into custody. The body has been sent for post-mortem, only after the report comes, it will be known what caused the death. The liquor which was found from close by Rakesh is also being investigated.
Police said fell in the drain, relatives denied
The family members had also reached the police station with a complaint. During this, the policeman said that the youth died due to falling in the drain. He had drunk alcohol. This was opposed by the relatives and rejected the point of the police. He alleged that liquor was being sold openly in the area only with the connivance of the police personnel. The police is doing a good thing to save the liquor mafia.
