Lucknow. The state government will lay special emphasis on making poor women self-reliant. The hands of women living below poverty line will be strengthened. Atta-masala mill scheme will enable these women to stand on their own feet. In 18 divisional headquarters, 2250 women will be linked with self-employment by giving government help. The blueprint of the plan has been prepared. Soon the Scheduled Castes Finance and Development Corporation will launch this scheme.
125 women will be benefited in each district in 18 divisional headquarters in the state. In this way a total of 2250 women will get the benefit of this scheme. 20 thousand rupees will be given to every woman for setting up each unit of flour and spice mill. In this, a grant of Rs 10,000 will be given and the rest will be given in the form of interest free loan with special central assistance. At present, 17 women have been selected so far in two districts as a pilot project. Now after the swearing in of Yogi government again, this scheme will be implemented more rapidly.
