Varanasi. Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee reached Banaras on Wednesday evening to campaign for the Samajwadi Party. After landing at Lal Bahadur Shastri Airport, Mamta left straight for Dashashwamedh Ghat. On the way some youth showed him black flags at two places. Mamta was upset when the black flag was shown in Chetganj. The car stopped and hit the road. Putting aside the supporters who came in front, he said, if you want to show the black flag, then come in front and show the BJP people. You’re losing and it’s not a black flag, it’s your fear. Taking the mike, he also raised the slogan of Jai UP and Jai Hind. BJP and Hindu Yuva Vahini showed black flag on Godoliya. The police pushed the youth to the side. Mamta go back and slogans of Jai Shri Ram were also raised. When Mamta reached Dashashwamedh Ghat to see the aarti, the protest continued there too. There was also a clash between the SP-BJP workers regarding this.
After Mamata’s protest, Samajwadi Party workers have started protesting against the BJP at Godauliya crossroads. The workers of both the parties came face to face. After this, increasing the police force, the workers of both the parties were removed from the spot. For about 10 minutes, slogans of Jayshree Ram and go back continued and Mamta stood there. During this, Mamta said that all this is happening due to fear of defeat, now I will not leave here without being defeated. The police had to struggle a lot to stop the protesters.
When Mamta Lal Bahadur Shastri went straight to the ghat to watch the Ganga Aarti from the airport, some youths in Chetganj showed black flags raising slogans. On this she stopped the car and got down on the road. Police and SP workers who were making security cordon were sidelined. Said- I am not afraid to show the black flag. I have come to Kashi to have darshan and meeting and now I will also do a road show. He described the incident as the anguish of the BJP’s defeat. Said, if you are losing, you will not be able to win by showing flags or raising slogans. Mamta also raised the slogan of Jai UP, Jai Singh. During this, the police lost their sweat in removing the youth showing the black flag. Black flags were shown even when Mamta’s convoy passed through Godowlia. At Dashashwamedh Ghat, Mamta did not sit on the chair and sat on the stairs. The aarti started with chanting of mantras and then saw the tableau with full devotion. Meanwhile some women started raising slogans of Murdabad. In response, SP workers also raised the slogan of Akhilesh Yadav. Seeing the ruckus, the policemen pushed both the sides away. After the Ganga Aarti was over, Mamta started climbing the stairs and some women and youths started shouting slogans of Jai Shri Ram. Slogans continued till Mamta sat in the car.
As soon as his convoy progressed, people started shouting slogans carrying BJP flags present everywhere. Black flag was also shown. When the car moved forward with difficulty, the SP workers who were coming behind got crowded with the people who were protesting. The beating started and the sticks started moving. Seeing the deteriorating environment, the police removed the people by showing strictness. The two sides again came face to face at the Godoliya crossroads. During this, there was a situation of confusion from Dashashwamedh to Godauliya.

SP National President former Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav tweeted on Mamata Banerjee’s protest in Banaras. He wrote that the BJP has not yet recovered from the shock of the defeat in West Bengal. That’s why Mamta is showing black flags to Banerjee in Banaras. This is another form of desperation of the BJP, because they know that they are losing badly in UP too.
On Wednesday, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamta Banerjee reached Dashashwamedh Ghat directly from Varanasi airport and got her head bowed at the Ganga temple. During this, Mamta saw the aarti by sitting on the steps of the ghat near the aarti site.

In view of the way Mamta was opposed at two places in the city, the activism of the police has increased more. At the same time, in view of the opposition of Mamta Banerjee, the workers of Samajwadi Party have also come down at Godauliya crossroads. After the aarti, Mamta will stay at Ramada Hotel in Chhawni. Due to this, the security of the hotel has also been increased even more.
