Lucknow. The resignation of ministers of the Yogi Adityanath government continues ahead of the assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh. After cabinet ministers Swami Prasad Maurya and Dara Singh Chauhan, now Dharam Singh Saini has given his resignation from the post of minister. Dharam Singh Saini gave this information through a tweet.
Minister Dharam Singh Saini vacated his official residence in Lucknow and returned the government vehicle and security even before resigning on Thursday.
BJP MLA from Nakud in Saharanpur and AYUSH Minister Dharam Singh Saini had said on Wednesday that Swami Prasad Maurya is my elder brother and will remain his elder brother. It is not known why he resigned.
He had said that it has come to know that my name is also in the list given by him to Samajwadi Party, he did this without asking me, which was wrong. I refute this. I am in BJP and will remain in BJP.
Dharam Singh Saini won the 2017 election by defeating Imran Masood of INC. Imran Masood is also leaving Congress and joining Samajwadi Party. In 2017, BJP’s Dharam Singh Saini got 94,375 votes and Imran Masood got 90,318 votes. Saini won by 4057 votes. Earlier in 2012, Dharam Singh Saini had won from BSP. Even then Imran Masood was defeated. He is MLA from Nakur for four consecutive terms. He was an MLA from BSP in 2002, 2007 and 2012. After this he joined BJP in 2017.
