Lucknow. Putting an end to all the speculations going on for several days, the BJP leadership has decided that Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will contest the assembly elections from Ayodhya. This has been agreed upon in a marathon meeting that lasted for two days at the party’s central office in New Delhi. Now a formal announcement is yet to be made after the meeting of the Central Election Committee. BJP has made preparations to run a saffron wave across the state by thickening the color of Hindutva with the help of Ram Mandir and Yogi under construction in this election which seems to be a struggle.
The meeting of the BJP state and central leadership is going on in Delhi for two days to decide the candidates for the assembly elections. Home Minister Amit Shah, who is called the party’s strategist, National General Secretary Organization BL Santosh and state election in-charge Dharmendra Pradhan, along with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, State President Swatantradev Singh, Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya and State General Secretary Organization Sunil Bansal have won one seat each and contenders. discussed in the name of On Tuesday, 170 seats included in the three phases were discussed, while on Wednesday the strategy to contest the elections to the VIP leaders was also discussed. Sources said that the leadership has decided that CM Yogi will contest from Ayodhya. Along with this, an agreement has also been reached on the seats of other big leaders. It is likely that after the final approval of this decision in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the proposed Central Election Committee meeting on Thursday, Yogi’s seat and other candidates will be announced by the party.
It is noteworthy that the Chief Minister has already said many times that he will contest the assembly elections this time, but the seat will be decided by the party. There was speculation that he may contest from his home district Gorakhpur, Ayodhya or Mathura. For the last few days, Mathura was also in the news because some party leaders expressed their desire that Yogi should contest from Mathura. Apart from this, slogans like ‘Ayodhya after Mathura ki preparation…’ are included in BJP’s election campaign. The strategic argument was being made that if Yogi fought from Mathura, he would be able to make a direct impact in western Uttar Pradesh, which is considered challenging. But, now the way the decision has been taken to fight the Chief Minister from Ayodhya, the BJP has given a clear indication of its strategy. In fact, with the construction of the temple at Ramjanmabhoomi, the Yogi government got involved in the all-round development of Ayodhya. There are several development projects going on there including the construction of an international airport. From there yogis will be able to present the example of Hindutva as well as the model of development.
Step on this 80 vs 20 strategy: In the past, CM Yogi bluntly said that this election is 80 vs 20 percent. It means 80 percent Hindu vs 20 percent Muslim. Not only Yogi, who has become a star campaigner of BJP as a strong Hindu leader across the country, almost all the leaders of the party talk about the construction of Ram temple in the election campaign, not only during the tenure of their government, but the then SP government on Kar Sevaks in Ayodhya. Reminds me of the bullets fired by him. Now with Yogi entering the election fray from Awadhpuri, Ram temple can come in the center of elections for the entire state.
Five-time MPs will contest the assembly elections for the first time: CM Yogi, who was a five-time MP from Gorakhpur, is going to contest the assembly elections for the first time. He was not the chief minister’s face in 2017 when the BJP won with a thumping majority. The party sent him to the House as a member of the Legislative Council after putting him on the Chief Minister’s chair. This time the election is being fought on his face.
