Lucknow. Swami Prasad Maurya, who came into the limelight after resigning from the post of minister, is going to be in trouble. MPMLA court magistrate Yogesh Yadav has ordered him to be arrested and produced on Wednesday for not appearing in the court despite the issuance of a non-bailable warrant. Civil court advocate Anil Kumar Tiwari filed the complaint and alleged. It was said that in a newspaper, the national officer of the BSP, Swami Prasad Maurya, said that do not worship gods and goddesses in marriage. This hurt the religious sentiments of the Hindus. Also, statements of Shravan Kumar and Tej Bahadur Singh were made in the court.
On 22 November 2014, the magistrate summoned Maurya under section 295A of the IPCC for outraging religious sentiments and ordered the trial. He filed a revision against the order in the Sessions Court, which was set aside on November 9, 2015. When the warrant of arrest was issued by the Magistrate Court, Swami Prasad filed a petition against him in the High Court. In this, a stay order was issued on 12 January 2016.
Recently, the Supreme Court nullified all the stay orders of more than six months in the case of MPs and MLAs. Along with this, it has also been ordered that the cases of magistrate trial should be seen in the lower court. When the file came up for hearing in ACJM Room No. 18, a non-bailable warrant was issued to appear on January 12. When Swami Prasad did not appear in the court on the appointed date, he was arrested and ordered to be produced before the court on January 24.
