Lucknow. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that it is the responsibility of the government and society that wherever there is any problem, it should solve it. The state government is providing all possible help to the needy with full sympathy. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has linked all the schemes with technology, so that there is no corruption. He directed the officers that motorized tricycles should be provided on priority to Divyangjan who are studying and doing business.
The Chief Minister on Wednesday sent Rs 2955.36 crore to the bank accounts of more than 98.28 lakh beneficiaries of various social security pension schemes at his official residence. The Chief Minister said that in the beginning of the year 2022, the benefit of increased pension has been given to the beneficiaries. Through this, the beneficiaries will contribute to make their life healthy and beautiful and give the benefit of their talent and energy to the society.
The state government has increased the pension amount of the beneficiaries of old age, destitute women, handicapped and leprosy pension scheme. The government has increased the pension amount to the destitute women and the beneficiaries of old age pension scheme to one thousand rupees per month. Beneficiaries of Divyangjan pension will also now get a pension of one thousand rupees per month. Beneficiaries of Leprosy Pension Scheme will now get Rs 3000 per month instead of Rs 2,500.
The Chief Minister said that the social security pensioners are also getting the benefit of free ration, housing, toilets and health insurance cover up to Rs 5 lakh under Ayushman Bharat under various schemes of the government. He called upon the beneficiaries of social security pension schemes to cooperate in connecting the benefits of pension to other needy who are in the category of eligibility. The Chief Minister also held a virtual dialogue with the beneficiaries of many districts.
On this occasion, Women Welfare Minister Swati Singh said that the State Government is working with the basic mantra of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas. Additional Chief Secretary Divyangjan Welfare Hemant Rao, Additional Chief Secretary Information Navneet Sehgal, Principal Secretary Women Welfare Anita Meshram, Principal Secretary Chief Minister and Information Shri Sanjay Prasad, Secretary Chief Minister Shri Alok Kumar and senior officers of the administration were present in the program.
How many beneficiaries of which scheme got pension
- Old Age Pension – Rs 56 lakh-1680 crore
- Destitute women pension – Rs 31 lakh-930 crore
- Divyangjan Pension – 11.17 lakh – Rs 335.10 crore
- Leprosy Pension – 11,430 – Rs 10.26 crore
