Mainpuri: There was a stir when news of religious conversion spread in the name of treatment in village Nagla Bakhtiya of Kishni police station area of Mainpuri. On the complaint of the people of Hindutva organizations, Ramnagar outpost police reached the spot and started gathering information. On Saturday, preparations were being made for the feast in village Nagla Bakhtiya of the police station area. Meanwhile, the police was informed that 71-year-old Mevaram son Ramvaran resident Nagla Bakhti, resident of Bahoshi police station Indergarh Kannauj Hall has arranged for a feast, Mevaram is blind. It was informed that religious conversion is taking place under the guise of the feast.
On getting the information, Inspector Satyabhan Singh from Ramnagar outpost reached the spot along with the soldiers and started gathering information after talking to the villagers. When Mevaram’s Aadhar card was checked, it was told that Prema Devi, the former head of Mevaram village, is the maternal uncle of Ramprasad Jatav. When the police talked to the blind old man, people started indecency. The policemen were chased away after abusing them. Everyone ran for their lives.
During the incident, villagers were accusing the blind Mevaram of promoting religious conversion. The villagers said that people from outside also come to help in this work. Crowds of people are gathered in the name of tantra-mantra and treatment. On the other hand, Mevaram said that there is no such thing, he had arranged for a feast on his birthday.
After getting information about the program, Hindu Jagran Manch District President Jaiprakash Chauhan, District Vice President Rampratap Singh Sengar, Rajjan Singh Sengar, Anupam Dubey, Anuj Chauhan, Shivam Rajawat, Sandeep Chauhan, VHP District Minister Aditya Pandey, Vijendra Shukla, Shani Shukla, Bajrang Dal’s Shivam Gupta, Shivakant Batham, Deepu Chauhan reached Nagla Bakti with their companions. These people have demanded a probe into the whole matter.
