Lucknow. Mayawati, the national president of Bahujan Samaj Party, is deeply moved by the incident of crushing a crowd with a vehicle in Chhattisgarh on Friday. Mayawati has compared this incident with the Lakhimpur Kheri incident and demanded strict action against the culprits.
After the Bharatiya Janata Party condemned the trampling of a car mob in Jashpur in Chhattisgarh, now the Bahujan Samaj Party chief has attacked the Chhattisgarh government. Former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati tweeted that the incident of death of one person and injuries to several people after a car was crushed by a crowd during the immersion of Durga Maa idols in Chhattisgarh on Friday is sad. He said that this is such an incident which is reminiscent of the incident of Lakhimpur Kheri in Uttar Pradesh. Mayawati said that the Congress government should give financial help and jobs to all the victims’ families. Along with this, the demand of BSP is that strict action should be taken against all the culprits.
Along with this, the BSP chief has described the brutal murder of a Dalit youth of Punjab on the Delhi Singhu border as very sad and shameful. Mayawati said that taking the incident seriously, the police should take strict action against the culprits. Mayawati said that BSP’s demand is that the Dalit CM of Punjab should also give 50 lakh rupees and government job to the victim’s family like Lakhimpur Kheri.
Significantly, a speeding vehicle (Mahindra Quanto) entered the procession taken out for the immersion of the idol of Goddess Durga at Pathalgaon in Jashpur district in Chhattisgarh on Friday. According to eyewitnesses, a speeding vehicle coming from Odisha side entered the procession and trampled people ahead. After this the vehicle got off the road and went to the field. Seeing this, the people of the vehicle started beating by catching Bablu Vishwakarma, resident of village Baidhna, district Singrauli (MP) and Shishupal Sahu, resident of village Bargawan, district Singrauli (MP). The vehicle was set on fire. A large quantity of ganja was kept in the vehicle. Police reached the spot and arrested both the accused. Due to this, Gaurav, a resident of Pathalgaon, died on the spot, while three people died on the way to the hospital. More than a dozen people have been admitted to the hospital in critical condition in the accident. Expressing grief, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has directed an inquiry into the matter.
