Tourists will not be allowed to enter the Taj Mahal from sunrise to 7:30 am on Sunday. The Taj Mahal will remain closed for tourists due to the visit of Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen. Tourists will not get entry in Agra Fort from 7:30 am to 10 am.

The Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) has given information about the time of the captivity of the Taj Mahal and the fort through a scroll on the website. According to this, the Taj Mahal will remain closed from sunrise to 7:30 am and Agra Fort from 7:30 am to 10 am. During this period no tourist will be able to enter the monument and will have to wait. As per the rules of ASI, Taj Mahal opens half an hour before sunrise and all other monuments open at sunrise. Denmark’s advance team visited the Taj Mahal on Wednesday for security and visit preparations. The team also has a visit schedule on Friday.
The first captive of VIP visit during the Corona period
This is going to be the first VIP visit during the corona virus infection period that started in India from March, 2020, in which the Taj Mahal will remain closed. On February 24, 2020, the Taj Mahal was closed for the visit of the then US President Donald Trump. After that no such VIP came for which the memorial was kept closed.
Final program is yet to be held
DM Agra PN Singh has informed the ASI about the official program of the Prime Minister’s visit to Denmark. Agra Fort will be closed from 9.30 am to 11.30 am. The ASI has given information about the closure of the monuments on the website according to the time. It will be revised when the program changes.
