At the same time, the Uttar Pradesh government is contemplating to start teaching work in secondary schools. Their opinion and suggestions are being sought from the parents in this regard. School Opening Guidelines (SOP) will be issued after the final decision.
14 days passed, parents did not get school information for admission
To enroll children under RTE, parents are making rounds from the office of Education Department to private schools, but the employees of District Basic Education Department are still in deep sleep. On June 15, the second lottery of RTE was taken out, even after 14 days, the list has not been issued by the Basic Education Department for the parents.
The parents are yet to even know which school has been allotted to their child so that he/she can go for the admission process in the school. Not only this, till now the first lottery list has not been sent to the schools by the department, due to which the admission process is getting delayed.
List not able to e-mail the schools even in three months: After the RTE lottery is out, the list of selected students is sent by the RTE department of the Basic Education Office to the Block Education Officer office. This year the first lottery of RTE was taken out on 30 March. Whose list reached the department, but most of the schools still have not e-mailed the list from the department, due to which they are sending the parents back to the department. Dadri resident Kavita says that her child is to be admitted in the Children’s Academy of Dadri, after getting the name in the first lottery, when he went to the school for admission, he was sent back saying that the school did not have the list. Now the parents are making rounds of the Basic Education Department office to get the school e-mailed, the same is the case with the rest of the parents.
Only one day left in admission, list not sent yet
The second lottery of RTE was taken out on June 15 and the department has been given the responsibility of admitting the selected students by June 30. The situation in the district is such that far from admission, parents have not even been told which school has been allotted to them. Bisrakh Block Block Education Officer Ved Prakash Gupta said that till now the list of second lottery has not reached his office, for this the department has been informed.
