Islamabad. Days after the blast near the Lahore residence of UN-designated terrorist Hafiz Saeed, a Pakistani journalist revealed that the terrorist Saeed was at his home when the blast took place. That was the target of this attack. Sahni said, ‘According to our information, Hafiz Saeed was present at his house. His family is denying this but the target of this attack was the same. Hafiz Saeed is the leader of the dreaded terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba (Lashkar-e-Tayyiba, LeT).
Amjad Saeed Sahni, a journalist of Dawn News’ program ‘Zara Hat Ke’, said, ‘Hafiz Saeed is the target and we have come to know that the jail department is monitoring his location. The jail superintendent has the power to declare any place as a prison.
Three people were killed in a powerful car bomb blast outside the home of Hafiz Saeed, the mastermind of the Mumbai attack and the chief of banned outfit Jamaat-ud-Dawa. More than twenty people were injured in the incident. Among them are policemen engaged in security outside the house of terrorist Hafiz Saeed. The blast took place in Lahore’s BOR Society, Jauhar Town. Hafiz Saeed, declared a global terrorist by the UN and the US, carries a bounty of 10 million on his head and is wanted for the 2008 Mumbai attack in India that claimed 161 lives.
LeT chief Hafiz Saeed was sentenced twice but he did not remain in jail and is carrying out terrorist activities from his Lahore residence. Three people were killed and 24 injured, including a police constable, in an explosion near his house last week. A car mechanic has been detained in the case and is being questioned.
Hafiz Saeed’s house will be safe but damage has been done in the range of 100 square meters around the blast. Hafiz, 71, is serving a sentence in Lahore’s Kot Lakhpat Jail for terror financing. At the end of last year in December, an anti-terrorism court had sentenced Saeed to 15 years and 6 months.
