Kabul. At least six civilians were killed and seven others injured in a bomb attack targeting a bus in the Afghan capital Kabul on Tuesday evening. Hamid Roshan of the ministry said, “Initial information found that six civilians were killed and seven others were injured. Casualties are subject to change.”
The incident happened around 7:15 pm near a bus stop in Masjid-e-Halebid area of Police District 3, Xinhua news agency quoted him as saying.
The official said that preliminary investigation revealed that it was detonated with a remote control.
Local residents told local media that the blast was followed by another explosion in the same district.
So far no group has claimed responsibility for the attack.
In previous years, the capital city was affected by terrorist attacks by Taliban and Islamic State (IS) group militants opposing the government.
