Saharanpur, Muzaffarnagar, Aligarh and Lucknow have the highest number of such children. So far 349 children have been traced in Saharanpur, 144 in Muzaffarnagar, 98 in Aligarh, 88 in Lucknow and 81 in Ghaziabad.
Expressing concern about the future of the children orphaned due to corona infection, the Supreme Court had also ordered the central and state governments to protect and protect them. At the same time, the Yogi government had already engaged in this work. The government has taken up the responsibility of nurturing the future of the destitute children due to Corona. For this ‘UP Chief Minister Bal Seva Yojana’ has been launched. In this, the government will bear the cost of upbringing and education of the children till they attain adulthood. Under this, work is going on to identify destitute children in the state.
Orphaned children will be re-marked: Till now, 287 children have been found in the state, both of whose parents did not live in this world due to corona infection. There are 2022 children whose both mother and father have passed away due to this disease. At the same time, Uttar Pradesh Child Rights Protection Commission Chairman Vishesh Gupta has directed all the districts to mark such children again. He told that no child should be missed, so one more exercise will be done. Taking cognizance of the news coming in the media, instructions have been given to collect the details of such children.
Most children found in these districts: 349 in Saharanpur, 144 in Muzaffarnagar, 98 in Aligarh, 88 in Lucknow, 81 in Ghaziabad, 70 in Prayagraj, 62 in Meerut, 61 in Varanasi, 58 in Mau, 50 in Ballia, 49 in Ayodhya , 46 in Farrukhabad, 45 in Kushinagar, 45 in Deoria, 45 in Unnao, 36 in Kanpur and 32 in Kanpur Dehat have been identified.
There will be arrangement for the maintenance and education of destitute children: The Yogi cabinet on Monday approved the ‘Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister’s Child Service Scheme’ for the provision of maintenance and education of the children who were orphaned during the corona epidemic. Under this scheme, the legal guardian of the orphan children will be given Rs.4000 per month per child till the child attains the age of majority. In the marriage of destitute girls, the government will give financial assistance of one lakh one thousand rupees. Under the pass proposal from the cabinet, if both the parents or either of the mother or father have died due to corona, then the children will get the benefit of this scheme.
