In relation to the personnel dead on duty during the General Panchayat Election-2021, the Yogi government has decided to change the old system of eligibility for ex-gratia, that the teachers and personnel who died due to corona within a period of 30 days from the election duty. It has happened, their families will be given financial assistance of Rs.30 lakh each. The special thing is that not only positive reports of RTPCR or antigen test, but also blood test and CT scan report will be considered as the basis of death from Kovid-19.
In fact, according to the Election Commission of India, the State Election Commission has already decided to give an ex-gratia amount of 30 lakh rupees to the relatives of the personnel who died due to corona while doing Panchayat election duty in April-May, but the current system In I, those personnel were getting out of the eligibility to get ex-gratia, who had corona infection while on duty, but died after a few days. On this, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath recently directed that the relatives of all the personnel who died due to corona in election duty should get ex-gratia amount, for this, in view of the corona, the old rules etc. should be amended in consultation with the Election Commission.
On the instructions of the Chief Minister, senior officials of the Government and the Commission and health services experts held discussions for several days. The fact also came to the fore in the discussions that if the viral load is low, then the corona does not catch in the antigen test. In some cases, RTPCR also does not detect infection. In such a situation, making the criteria for the eligibility of ex-gratia amount on the date of antigen test and RTPCR test did not seem to solve the problem. Finally, keeping in view all these aspects, a proposal was made that if death from Kovid-19 should be made the basis of ex-gratia amount within thirty days from the date of election duty, then all the families affected by the death of the election duty personnel can be given help. is.
