Chennai. The father of Indian team cricketer Washintagan Sundar says that he is staying away from his son due to the threat of corona virus. Sundar is part of the Indian team going to England and has arrived in Mumbai before leaving for England on Wednesday. Sundar’s father M. Sundar works in the Income Tax Department in Chennai, due to which he has to go to two-three offices a week. His father has been living in another house since Washington returned home from IPL.
Washintagan Sundar’s father said, ‘My wife and daughter are living with Washington because they don’t move out of the house. I am talking to him only on video call. I have to go to office a few days a week. I don’t want him to be infected with Corona because of me. ‘ M Sundar said that Washington has a dream of playing Test cricket in England and this is the best opportunity to do so. He always wants to play at Lord’s and other places in England. This has been his long-standing goal. He does not want to miss this tour at any cost.
India tour to England
In 2018, Washington was selected for the T20 and ODI series in England, but had to return due to an injury suffered during the practice session on tour. He could not play a single match. The left-handed batsman has made some significant contributions with the bat in Test cricket since making his debut in Australia earlier this year.
